Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner? At Woza Moya we start preparing for Christmas early as all our beautiful beaded Christmas decorations are hand-made.

When we launched our Lifesaver Christmas gift boxes last year, we had no idea that the need would be even greater this year. COVID continues to hamper sales both locally and internationally and then, to add to an already desperate situation, we were faced with the riots and unrest during July 2021. The situation has gone from bad to worse.

The Woza Moya crafters need your help again!

We were bowled over by your incredible support last year and we are asking you to go above and beyond for us again this year! Our Woza Moya crafters need something to celebrate.

The COVID-pandemic and riots have left hundreds of our vulnerable crafters without work and they are in desperate need. Many crafters are the sole-supporters of multi-generational families and rely heavily on the sale of their beadwork to Woza Moya to earn a basic income.

We hope that there is space on your Christmas tree for more Woza Moya decorations! Our philosophy this year is more is more!

Woza Moya is an economic empowerment project of the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust. We provide retail outlets for local crafters and artists to sell their work. Our main focus is Zulu beadwork and wirework but we sell all kinds of other hand-crafted products too. Our main offices are in Hillcrest, Durban and we have the following retails outlets:
