Crafts that empower, uplift and inspire.
We market and sell beadwork and other South African craftwork locally and internationally. We sell directly to individual customers as well as supply the wholesale and retail markets.
Woza Moya meaning “come winds of change” is a social enterprise that was established in 2002 by the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust. Our primary objective is to reduce poverty through craft, providing an income to communities infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
We started with a handful of Zulu beaders making AIDS ribbons at a church and have grown into an organization that buys and resells products from over 400 crafters monthly. Our product range includes beadwork, wirework, carvings, paintings, sewing, and crochet.
Most crafters come from the Valley of 1000 Hills area of Kwa-Zulu Natal and in a lot of cases we are their sole source of income. We always pay a fair price for the goods we buy and encourage the crafters to set the price based on their material price and time taken.
We regularly undertake large commissions for Corporates and International Organisations. And if you’re looking for something smaller we provide great South African promotional gifts and conference gifting
Please contact us if you’re interested in using Woza Moya for your next corporate activation or function.
